Tranquil Acres is a therapeutic equestrian centre in the Ottawa region. Tranquil Acres is a centre for people with varying social, emotional, and mental health needs who want to experience the transformative powers of horses as teachers and healers. Our dedicated staff has a wide range of expertise, and we are committed to helping each of our clients reach their fullest potential. We are open year round and are located just outside of the Ottawa city centre.

Tranquil Acres also provides full board to the recreational rider looking for a relaxed atmosphere.

Tranquil Acres caters to all disciplines and skill levels.

We offer Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning (EFEL) sessions and workshops aimed at promoting personal and professional growth and development as well as Equine Facilitated Experiential Psychotherapy (EFEP) sessions. All services are available to adults, adolescents, children & families as individuals or groups.

I am a full time horse trainer that offers colt starting, finishing, conditioning, and problem solving in a gentle and humane manner. I am a certified western coach with the Certified Horsemanship Association and give both beginner/advanced lessons. With over 300 acres on our property, we have a variety of trail rides both all day and overnight. The property is also a camp and conference center where we run clinics and kids' camps. We also offer full horse board with access to an outdoor arena and the many different facilities.

Pasture and stall board at a small, quiet, non-competitive barn near Burford and convenient to Woodstock and Brantford.

Small compatible groups. Catering to weanlings, broodmares, youngstock, retirees, lay-ups, and ponies.

Stalls are 10 x 11. Good wide aisle in an airy barn. Plenty of tie-up space for pasture boarders. Tackroom. Washroom. Children welcome.

Round pen,riding ring, trails a short distance away, and penning evenings locally. Trailer parking available.

No frills, but first class horse care by an experienced barn owner. Visiting instructors welcome. We have our own excellent vet and farrier, but there are no restrictions on using your own.
