FEI rider with years of experience teaching on the east and west coast is now welcoming new students in and around the Roy, WA area. Jessica was born and raised in Long Island, NY. At an early age she was fortunate enough to be introduced to horse back riding and quickly realized this was her passion! She has an extensive background in jumping and while living on the east coast was able to spend some time training with greats such as Anne Kursinski and Frank Madden. In her years jumping she was able to train her horse to level VI jumpers, and even though her focus was on jumping, she always had a foundation built upon dressage and showed the lower levels at a young age. She has participated in clinics with great dressage masters such as Anne Gribbons, Lendon Gray, and Janet Foy. Jessica loves the detail and precision of riding dressage, and in 2008, when she got the opportunity to move to Washington to work at a well known dressage barn, she jumped at the chance! In the 2009 show season, Jessica got her first taste of the FEI ring while showing Prix St Georges and knew she would always be wanting more! In January 2011, she began working at Summervale Farm, where she rides and trains while continuing her own education under the tutelage of Jennifer Williams (Jennifer Williams is the head trainer at Summervale Farm, where she runs an extremely successful training and sales program along with breeder Charlene Summers. She is a USDF bronze, silver, and gold Medalist along with many other achievements. In 2010, Jennifer was awarded the Ann L. Barlow Ramsay grant from the Dressage Foundation). Jessica is currently welcoming new students. Jessica has a passion for teaching horses and riders of every age, and her goals are to help her students develop their skills while improving horse and rider partnerships. Whether you are just interested in polishing your equestrian skills or competing, Jessica will work with you to create a program that works for you.
