Shimmering Moon Farm is a quality horse training and breeding facility specializing in Arabians and Thoroughbreds.

We breed Arabians for temperament and rideability. Arabians have the bad reputation of being hot, pretty, and unmanageable. At Shimmering Moon, this is not our goal. We want horses that are a pleasure to ride, not leave us face down in the dirt. As we get older, the falls get only harder.

This is also the goal with the rest of our sale horses. Our sale horses have been here a minimum of six months. With one of our most recent sales, the Thoroughbred had lived here for five years. We want to match the rider to the mount. We emphasize quality. We will not sell you a horse that does not fit your ability.

We also can train your horse for you. In our training programs, we emphasize groundwork, safety, and forming a bond with the horse based on respect and trust.

We have Morgan horses for sale in many colors and ages. Geldings, mares and stallions. Age and the desire to travel forces us to sell all but 3 of our horses. Some are trained, some are just started and some only have ground work done.
