What is Equine Facilitated Therapy?

EFT is a type of therapy in which horses are a part of the therapeutic team that helps clients with emotional growth and learning. Through therapeutic riding and other associated equine activities, clients encounter specially designed interactive experiences to promote psychosocial healing and growth.

Who is a candidate for Equine Facilitated Therapy?

Clinical evidence suggests that EFT therapy may help people who are suffering from:

- Conduct disorder

Serendipity is a Horses for Heroes site, as well as a PATH International Member center. We have a PATH certified riding instructor, an award winning barrel race instructor, and a Clinical Psychologist on staff to meet your needs.

Serenity At Last Farm is a full boarding, training, and lesson facility. We have 12x12 stalls and a large riding arena. We feed quality hay and grain twice daily. Individual or group turn out available. Onsite trainer that gives lessons and will train/school your horse. Showing at local and rated shows. Personal attention for all your horse's needs. Owner lives on property to ensure 24 hour care. Family friendly environment. All ages and disciplines welcome. We hope to be a home away from home for you and your horse!

- Pasture Board $375.00/month (includes all amenities of full board without a stall)

Serenity Equine Rescue & Rehabilitation rescues horses from neglect, abuse, abandonment, and slaughter. Individual nutritional programs are developed after a veterinary intake wellness check is done, including the Henekee scoring system.

When the horse is considered well enough for training, our trainers develop a program for each horse.

Horses are not made available for adoption until training is complete to insure they will be easily adopted to a forever home.
