We are located in Spring Grove, IL, next to Chain O'Lakes State Park with easement access to the equine trails. We are on the eastern border of McHenry County, IL and western border of Lake County, IL. The horses are our main concern, and their long term health and well being are our TOP priority. Each horse receives individual attention. Connected Riding allows us to offer a program that creates a magical bond between student and their horse. We offer a lesson program for any horse lover from 4 years of age on up. From the most timid to most confident rider, our program has something to offer those that want to take their horsemanship to the next level. Lessons can be taken on your own horse or a school mount. There is no trailering in fee for those that want a lesson on their own back yard horse. Instructor is a Connected Riding Practitioner. We also offer summer programs. Pony camps for 4-6 yr olds; day camps for 7-12 yr olds; and teen camps for 13-17 yr olds. For those that have lives that do not allow for weekly lessons, but still want to connect with horses, we also offer "Night Out at the Ranch" for those of you that are not able to spent time with horses on a regular basis. Meadowview Farms, located in beautiful Garrison, New York, along the east bank of the Hudson River, provides a small and intimate setting for boarding and riding services. This up to date barn includes 12x12 matted stalls with automatic waterers. Each stall has a dutch style window and is heated through the cold weather. Indoor and outdoor wash areas with hot and cold water and a clean tack room complete the indoor facility. Multiple green pastures and clean paddocks, a large private outdoor arena, and a 60 foot round pen as well as trailering services are just some of the facility's current features. The owner and manager, Amber Polhemus, who has ridden horses all her life and studied Equine Science and Management, lives on premise and does multiple night checks and care. Future expansion plans include an indoor riding ring and additional pastures and paddocks.
