Our goal is to provide care, rehabilitation and relocation through adoption of unwanted, neglected, abandoned, or abused horses.
It all started with the rescue of one horse. To see one of these great animals starving is unspeakable. So we are trying to be their voice and their helper, and through our horse rescue and others like us, we will continue to save one horse at a time by bringing them in, getting them healthy and trained again, and then finding them responsible loving homes. We try to save as many equines as we can from a slow and many times a painful death.
Our future goals are to offer clinics or classes for the care and training of these majestic animals. Our hope is to educate enough people that in time fewer horses will need to be rescued. We also try to educate owners on proper equine care, and we will be offering classes on basic horse care and handling. We are also going to start a Veterans Day once a month at our farm where our HEROS can come and spend the day and enjoy the animals.
Because we are a small rescue, we are only able to take in a small amount of horses at one time. If you are in need of our help, give us a call. If we cannot help you, we will try to help send you in the right direction. We promise to rescue neglected, abused, and homeless horses and provide them a loving home and also rehabilitation, retraining and then adoption for some to approved homes.
JM Horse Rescue does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other basis of discrimination prohibited by law.

Our farm is located in beautiful south central Kentucky. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit charity. MVR is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to the one goal at hand:
To rehabilitate, re-school & re-home unwanted, neglected, mistreated & misunderstood equines and to place them in permanent, loving, forever homes.
We understand the commitment it takes to be a good horse owner. Anyone can buy or even be given a horse, but unfortunately not so many intend to be his life long partner. Here at Mountain View Rescue, all our horses are assured they will never be forgotten.

fatoldfarmwife@verizon.net
A constantly growing 501(c)3 organization that networks volunteers and horse people from all over the New England region. NEER is dedicated to helping horses and horse rescues in any way possible, including direct intervention for abused or slaughter-bound equines, effective horse placement, fundraising and active support of the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act. We need to find good homes, foster homes, volunteers, transport, advice, referrals, and as much support as we can to help stop the abuse, neglect, and slaughter of horses. There is no one facility, no one rescue, but a large group of people ranging from 'an extra stall' to larger 501(c)3 organizations.
Please join us.
