AHHR is a non-profit horse rescue managed entirely by volunteers. We work with the SPCA on abuse and neglect cases to take animals out of harmful situations. Although we typically work with horses, we help anything too large to be housed by the SPCA. We are located just off of Rt. 220 between Williamsport and Jersey Shore, PA, in Lycoming County.

We at Cozee Valee provide our animals with a safe haven away from the neglect, abuse, abandonment, and the emotional torment they have been subject to. These animals get medical, dental, and farrier care as needed. We are a hands-on rescue that believes staying small is the key to our success. At our rescue, it is all about the quality, not the quantity. When quarantine is over and it is the proper time, we strive to find the most suitable homes for our animals. Each animal that is placed in our care will receive our full efforts to ensure that they never experience an auction ring, slaughter facility, or the cruel life they had before we acquired them. Some of our animals have physical or emotional issues that may hinder them from finding a forever home. If the proper home can not be found, these animals then go into our sanctuary program and will remain here at Cozee Valee for life.

This is a private rescue that was founded out of a pure love for horses and a firm belief that no life should be forgotten. Forgotten Treasures Equine Rescue was started in November 2007.
