"Neigh & Play" horse camps are held during the second weeks of July & August on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of both weeks. Camps are for children from 7 years to 17 years.

Pony parties are also offered at Whip-o-Will Stables, and there is an option to fit every budget.

We also have a working student / apprenticeship program that allows youth to work off riding lessons and apprentices to obtain their Massachusetts Riding Instructors License and have a chance at a wonderful career.

Willowgait Farm is located on beautiful and peaceful Knotts Island, North Carolina, 30 minutes from Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, VA. We are a small equestrian facility dedicated to teaching horsemanship and riding to horse lovers of all ages. Throughout the year, Willowgait Farm offers private riding lessons and a children's club program called Barn Rats Club. Looking to rent a pony for birthday parties or other occasions?

You've come to the right place!

We will bring our safe, gentle pony to your house within 20 miles of our farm (greater distances at an additional charge), or you can come to us. The pony works without a bridle or bit and responds to pressure on the reins alone. We show your youngster how to mount and dismount properly and to give the proper directions. By the end of the party, your youngsters will know how to make the pony go, stop, back up, turn a complete circle, and turn left and right. We typically figure on 12-15 children per hour per pony.

Winterfrost Farm is a horse rescue program that takes in abused, neglected, or surrendered horses, nurses them back to health, trains or retrains them, and then rehabilitates them. A big part of their rehabilitation is using them for trail rides. We are a stable in Montgomery County that offers trail riding to the public. Horses used in our Ride-a-Rescue program are healthy, calm, and ready for a job. Our miles of trails take you across mountain tops, through old forest, and right down to the New River. We also offer lessons, attractive leasing options, birthday parties, and special events.
