As an ARIA certified dressage, western, and recreational riding instructor, I can assist you in developing a harmonious approach and balanced seat in riding your own horse or one of mine. Additionally accredited through Frank Bell, international trainer and clinician, I can also teach you gentle solutions for training challenges and problem behaviors without the use of force, punishment, or domination. All sessions are private and customized to the individual student or horse. Lessons in liberty training, basic horse training on the ground and in the saddle, obstacle work, trail work, ground driving, and riding with a cordeo are available, along with traditional riding (w/t/c, lateral work, basic jumping). Kings Meadow Farm is an equine boarding and training facility located on 40 beautiful acres in Cordova, MD. Kings Meadow has a 14 stall barn with 2 wash stalls with hot and cold water and full size tack rooms. There is an indoor riding arena to provide year round riding as well as a 100 x 200 outdoor sand arena and plenty of trails for your riding pleasure. Kings Meadow has eight pastures with run in sheds for shelter and automatic water feeders, so our boarders always have access to fresh water. The horses boarded at Kings Meadow are given exceptional care. We provide a relaxed environment where people who love horses can ride, learn, and have fun. It is our goal to work with you and provide our boarders and clients with excellent services that will help you achieve your riding goals.

Through their guidance, my counseling education, sport psychology background, and my own experience in performance, I have learned how to motivate equestrians to learn, develop, and improve physically and mentally. I enjoy working with beginners to national competitors, your horse or mine, confidence or competitive goals.

I also enjoy training horses by developing a relationship with the horse, rather than breaking them down. I feel the horse should be a team member and not subdued into a robot.

Leslie is a USHJA Certified instructor who has been teaching horseback riding lessons to children and adults for over 35 years. As a child, she was a member of Glastonbury Pony Club. She graduated the UCONN Animal Science program and then owned and operated Ansala Farms, a breeding and training farm where she taught riding lessons in Andover, CT, for 18 years. She spent 12 years building and managing the riding program and schooling the green horses at Kingsley Farm in Coventry, CT, with Dee Dee Hopper. She was with Full Circle Farm in Manchester, CT, from 2010 to early 2015 where she built the riding program and initiated and coached the successful IEA Show team. She now teaches out of Hunters Run Stables in Glastonbury, CT, C&M Farms Equestrian Center in Bolton, CT, and Meadowbrook Farm in Lebanon, CT.
