The focus of the work at Shumbashaba is on Horses Helping Humans. There are a number of different programmes available, depending on the needs of the individuals. For people with disabilities, there is therapeutic riding and riding as a sport and skill for the disabled. For children, teens, and adults struggling with life's challenges, there is Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning. For corporates, there is leadership and personal development through Equine Assisted Learning. Shumbashaba is dedicated to uplifting the members of the surrounding impoverished community through the way of the horse and is involved in a number of pro bono programmes.
