Our leasing program allows riders to tailor a schedule to their needs while avoiding the initial costs of purchase. Orme Ranch Camp is a co-ed residential camp for ages 7-16 where "everybody rides everyday"! We have four 2-week sessions from June - August. We teach new riders the basics of grooming and then start / steer / stop before heading out on the trail, and we offer specialty riding classes for the more proficient rider. We are located on a 26,000 acre working cattle ranch in the high desert of Arizona. At 4,000 feet, the weather is considerably cooler than in Phoenix! When not in the saddle, campers have a choice of traditional camp activities, such as swimming, ceramics, archery, and desert survival. For Summer 2009, we are introducing paint ball to our list of special activities! On the weekends, we take special trip and travel around our nearby southwest. We visit lava caves, Native American ruins, participate in July 4th parade in Prescott, and attend the 'World's Oldest Rodeo'! During two of our sessions, we camp at the Grand Canyon and take mule rides into the canyon.
