Trainer David Donnelly of French Light Dressage brings over 30 years of experience training classical and competitive dressage horses and riders from start through all movements of the Haute Ecole or Grand Prix. David trains with a holistic combination of the French classical and modern schools. Use of correct gymnastic lunging, work in hand, slow correct work in pillars, and riding with a primary focus on lightness and relaxed responsiveness makes French Light Dressage a proactive choice for owners. Horses experience correct progressive development. Riders develop sophistication and harmony and progress in their own riding experience.

David is accepting clients and horses on a limited basis.

French Prairie Acres is conveniently located five minutes off of I-5 and 20 minutes from Salem, Newberg, Wilsonville, and Silverton. Our reasonably priced, full care stable offers 18 stalls (14 with 24' runs), a 60x120 lighted indoor arena, an 80' round pen, four separate pastures, a tack room with private lockers, and a hot water wash rack. Full care for your horse includes premium grass hay fed twice a day, your supplements fed once a day, blankets and fly masks as needed, daily turn out, and stalls cleaned daily. Owner lives on site with a direct view of the barn from the house, providing added care and increased security for your horse.

French Prairie Acres is purposely designed to care for your horse as if it belonged to us. Our stable is on 16 acres in the middle of farm country. Willamette Mission State Park equestrian trails are an easy ten minute drive. We provide a safe and pleasant environment for owners to handle and work with their horses. Our goal is to provide a healthy, friendly, and drama free environment while doing our best to satisfy you and your horse's individual needs.
