Gusty Wind Acres Riding School Inc. is a fine horse facility located on a beautiful 200-acre farm. The riding school offers a variety of opportunities for riders and horses. Students or boarders may ride in our 72' x 144' indoor arena, in one of our 4 outdoor sand or grass arenas, or in the scenic woods and fields. The riding school also hosts approximately 4 public horse shows per year in which boarders and students may participate.

Lessons have been taught at Gusty Wind Acres for 30 years. The main goal of our lesson program is to teach out students to safely enjoy the pleasures of horseback riding while having a respect for the happiness and well being of the horse. We offer a variety of programs, including horse camp.

Hunter, dressage, and combined training instruction is provided by our 3 riding instructors. Our head instructor, who has taught for over 30 years, has won numerous honors.

Happy Hoof Summer Day Camps begin in June 2011. We have wonderful horses, a creek and a forest, a nice indoor ring, and trails. Each day at camp will begin with the horses and end with academic learning in a fun environment, including professional demonstrations of hoof trimming and saddle fitting.

The schedule is:
Monday through Wednesday: 9:30 to 3:30
Thursday: 11:00 to 7:00, with a BBQ at 5:00 for campers and their families.

$275 per week (rate as of May 2011).

Riding lessons at Hasty Acres are great exercise and fun for the whole family or anyone who just wants to get out and learn to ride. We offer riding instruction with our experienced riding instructors in one of our two outdoor rings or our indoor ring. We offer entry level through advance riding instruction at our facility. Our primary disciplines taught here are English, hunters, and equitation. If you board your horse with us, you can ride your own horse, or you can make use of one of our school/lesson horses. If you recently purchased a horse, riding lessons are a great way to build your bond and trust with your newest family member. We offer private and group lessons at very reasonable rates.

Summer Camp:
Weekly camps run from June 2010 through August 2010. Actual dates will be determined based upon requested enrollment this year since we had so many asking us to make our summer camp even longer. Our summer program is educational and fun.
