The mission of Hope's Promise is to provide physical, mental, and emotional therapy to a wide range of children and adults with disabilities through equine activities.

A full experience of equine activities is offered to match the ability of each individual. These include the basics of groundwork, including leading the horse, personal space, respect, and safety; grooming and saddling the horse; and the basics of riding, with each student progressing to their individual ability.

HATS of N LA was formed by a group of diverse people with a common dream: to share the awesome ability that horses have to make a difference in our lives. Our program offers goal oriented therapeutic riding instruction geared toward each individual rider. Soon, we hope to begin offering hippotherapy services provided by licensed physical therapists and equine facilitated psychotherapy services provided by a psychologist. With the help of some extraordinary volunteers and horses, we are serving the north Louisiana area with locations in Tallulah, West Monroe, and Choudrant.

Our mission is "To provide all individuals who are physically, mentally, or emotionally challenged with healing empowerment through horses. Equine-oriented activities help facilitate the ability of individuals to reach their full potential by enhancing self-esteem and self-confidence." We offer small group therapeutic horseback riding lessons, an equine learning program for non-riders, individual private therapeutic riding lessons, "Horses 4 Heroes" program for veterans, firefighters/EMTs, law enforcement officers, Critical Care, pediatric, and hospice nurses, and special education teachers and their family members and "Horses for Hope", a program for children and adults diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Horsefeathers is a supportive treatment program for people of all ages and all abilities. All sessions are conducted one-on-one in a calm, non-competitive environment. Using the unique, powerful movement of the horse to awaken and enhance neuromotor function, we help our riders achieve successes that generalize to daily life and build self-esteem.

While Horsefeathers' focus has always been on people with special needs, we now have the capacity to include anyone who wishes to experience the benefits that horseback riding provides.
