Mane Stream is a non-profit registered charitable organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical, developmental, emotional, and medical challenges through a diverse program of equine assisted activities, equine assisted therapy, and educational initiatives. Mane Stream is located in Oldwick, New Jersey.
Mane Stream offers equine assisted occupational, physical, and speech therapy sessions with trained and licensed therapists for children and adults. Our therapists utilize traditional therapy techniques and the horse's movement to improve functional outcomes. The minimum age to participate in equine assisted therapy at Mane Stream is 2 years old.
Adaptive riding is also offered at Mane Stream and is a horseback riding lesson using adaptive teaching techniques and/or equipment. Participants learn riding and horsemanship skills through instruction from a PATH, Intl. certified instructor. Riders are assisted by volunteers who may lead the horse or walk along with the rider when necessary and are encouraged to be as independent as possible. Minimum age for participation is 4 years old.
Camp Cold Brook is a summer day camp open to all children, including those with physical and cognitive challenges, as well as able-bodied children. Camp Cold Brook is geared towards the beginner rider and is an excellent introduction to horses and riding in a safe and secure environment. All instructors are PATH certified, are trained in CPR and First Aid, and have a strong horsemanship background. All instructors are assisted by trained volunteers to ensure the safety of the campers. Children four years old and older can attend.

austinlessonsandtutoring@gmail.comAt Maverick Horseback Riding, we do lessons on the trail instead of in an arena. It is better for horse and rider, and you can learn just as much if not more while on the trail. We work with riders of all ages and can accommodate riders of all experience levels. We do work with Special Needs individuals as well; we have multiple horses that are trained to work with Special Needs kids and adults. We also provide horse training and breaking. Trail rides are also available for people who just want to have a fun time but don't want to ride regularly.
