Our equine friends can help us face all of life's challenges with strength and confidence. Whether you're a teenage girl with a love of animals, a child with CP or autism, or an adult that needs to get some exercise, horseback riding and other equine activities offer opportunities to strengthen your mind, body, and soul.
Our programs, located at Saddle Rock Ranch in Middle Island, are customized to meet your needs. We have riding instructors experienced in lessons for beginners through advanced, including jumping, as well as certified therapeutic riding instructors, trained to work with students of all physical and developmental abilities. Our volunteer program gives teenagers and adults the opportunity to learn horse skills, put their experience to good use and do something that just makes you feel good.

The Greek Scientific Association of Therapeutic Riding and Hippotherapy (GSATRH) is a non-profit organization whose focus and goal is the rehabilitation of handicapped children and adults. Rehabilitation and therapy use the horse as a medium between the child/adult and the therapist.
During a therapeutic session, apart from using up-to-date, recognised techniques of TR and hippotherapy, we incorporate a series of methods applied today in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and speech therapy. These methods and techniques are also used for the most part in the USA as well as in some European countries, Greece included.
Under the daily supervision and guidance of GSATRH's founders (Mr. John Nikolaou, Mr. Nikos Nikolaidis, and Mr. Nikos Polyzos), these techniques are put to practice and implemented by specialized therapists.
The GSATRH is based within the grounds of Varybobi Riding Club (this is the club where therapeutic riding first begin in Greece).

Soon, we will offer therapeutic riding and children's birthday parties. We are 5 miles north of I-10 with easy access to shopping, restaurants, gas stations, vet services, feed and tack services, farrier services, etc. We take credit cards and cash preferably (will take local checks). We allow small pets (20 lbs max). Prefer non-smokers, no alcohol. Family environment.
